580 8TH STt AUMSVILLE <br />94-1S58 (9054390) <br />May 5, 1994 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />Building Inspection - Dwelling Plan Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with the state of Oregon <br />1993 Edition One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Code. <br /> <br />A copy of approved plans when required by the building official shall be <br />kept on the site Of the building or work at the time of inspection. <br />(R-ii1.2) <br /> <br />Approved numbers or addresses shall be placed on all buildings in such a <br />position as to be plainly visible and legible from the street or road <br />fronting the property. (UFC 10.208) <br /> <br />The grade away from foundation walls shall fall a minimum of 6 in. <br />within the first 10 ft., except as restricted by lot lines where the <br />fall will be a minimum of 6 in. regardless of the horisontal distance <br />available. (R-301.3) <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />Basement walls, foundation walls, and other vertical concrete exposed to <br />the weather shall have a minimum specified compressive strength of <br />3000 psi. Porches, carport slabs, garage floor slabs and steps exposed <br />to the weather shall have a minimum specified compressive strength of <br />3500 psi. Table No. (R-302.2) <br /> <br />22. <br /> <br />Provide at least 1 square foot of und~rfloor ventilation for each 150 <br />square feet of crawl space area. The openings shall be covered with a <br />corrosion resistant wire mesh. At least one such opening shall be <br />provided within 3 feet of each corner of the building. (R-311.1) <br /> <br />42. <br /> <br />Smoke detectors shall be installed outside of each separate sleeping <br />area in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms and on each additional <br />story of the dwelling including basements. In dwelling units with split <br />levels, a smoke detector need be installed only on the upper level, <br />provided the lower level is less than one full story below the upper <br />level, except that if there is a door between levels then a detector is <br />required on each level. All detectors shall be interconnected such that <br />the actuation of one alarm will actuate all the alarms in the individual <br />unit and shall provide an alarm which will be audible in all sleeping <br />areas. (R-215.1) <br /> <br />46. <br /> <br />Bathrooms shall be provided with artificial light and an approved <br />mechanical ventilation system capable of producing a change of air every <br />12 minutes or a window Of not less than 3 sq. ft., one-half of which <br />must be openable. (R-203.3) <br /> <br />52. <br /> <br />Exterior and foundation wall panels of frame construction shall be <br />braced with approved structural sheathing or 1-inch by 4-inch let in <br />braces. Structural sheathing and 1-inch by 4-inch let-in braces shall be <br />installed as per Table NO. R-402.10.
