Page 2 <br /> <br />burner ignition devices or heating elements and switches at least 18 <br />inches above the floor level (M-1006.3) <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />Smoke detectors shall be installed outside of each separate sleeping <br />area in the immediate vicinity of the bedrooms and on each additional <br />story of the dwelling including basements. In dwelling units with split <br />levels, a smoke detector need be installed only on the upper level, <br />provided the lower level is less than one full story below the upper <br />level, except that if there is a door between levels then a detector is <br />required on each level. All detectors shall be interconnected such that <br />the actuation of one alarm will actuate all the alarms in the individual <br />unit and shall provide an alarm which will be audible in all sleeping <br />areas. (R-215.1) <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />In new construction, required smoke detectors shall receive their <br />primary power from the building wiring and when primary power is <br />interrupted, shall receive power from a battery. (R-215.2) <br /> <br />Roof trusses are required to be designed by an Oregon registered <br />Engineer or Architect. For trusses manufactured by an approved <br />fabrication plant, have the design and layout drawings available at the <br />construction site for the framing inspection. All job site cutting Or <br />modification of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in the <br />engineer's design calculations and drawings. If trusses are to be built <br />at the job site, submit the engineer's design and construction plans to <br />the Marion County Building Department prior to start of construction and <br />have the approved drawings available at the site for the framing <br />inspection. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />Water heaters having nonrigid water connections and over 4-feet in <br />height from the base to the top of the tank case shall be anchored or <br />strapped to the building to resist horizontal displacement due to <br />earthquake motion. (M-1006.2) <br /> <br />Approval as a result of this plan review or an inspection shall not be <br />construed to be an approval of a violation of the provisions of the dwelling <br />code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction. Reviews or inspections <br />presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of the <br />dwelling code or of other ordinances o£ the jurisdiction shall not be valid. <br /> <br />JT: <br /> <br />"APPROVED" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
