Page 2 <br /> <br />Wood framed walls a minimum of two feet and less than four feet wide at <br />garage door openings shall be provided with approved hold-down anchors <br />at each end of each wall seqment. The hold-downs shall connect the wall <br />studding to the concrete foundation. An alternate design which is' <br />designed to resist an 80 mile per hour wind load may be submitted to <br />Marion County for review with details shown on the plans and design <br />calculations showing compliance with this requirement. <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />Provide shear wall in nook area as designed with nailing as specified on <br />attached spec. sheets. (North/South wall) <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />A readily accessible attic access shall be provided to any attic area <br />having a clear height of over 30 inches. A framed opening not less than <br />22 in. by 30 in. is required. (R-708) <br /> <br />Wood trusses shall be designed in accordance with approved engineering <br />practice. Trusses shall be braced according to their appropriate <br />engineered design. Truss members shall not be cut or altered unless so <br />designed.
