125 First st, Detroit <br />Permit ~ 46193 <br />Control # 93-1155 <br />November 24, 1993 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br />Marion County <br /> OREGON <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMfN¥ <br />DI~p^ R, TMENT <br /> <br />Building I~spection - ~welling Plan Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with the State of Oregon <br />1993 Edition One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Code. <br /> <br />A copy of approved plans when required by the building official shall be <br />kept on the site of the building or work at the time of inspection. (R- <br />111.2} <br /> <br />Approved numbers or addresses shall be placed on all buildings in such a <br />position as to be plainly visible and legible from the street or road <br />fronting the property. (UFC 10.208) <br /> <br />The grade away from foundation walls shall fall a minimum of 6 in. <br />within the first 10 ft., except as restricted by lot lines where the <br />fall will be a minimum of 6 in. regardless of the horizontal distance <br />available. (R--30~.3) <br /> <br />The structural supports for desks, balconies, porches or similar <br />structures shall be pressure-treated wood to protect against decay. <br />(R-309.1) <br /> <br />Stairways shall not be less than 3 f~et in clear width and the headroom <br />shall not be less than 6 feet $ inches. The minimum required stair <br />tread width is 9 inshes. The maximum stair rise is 8 1/4 inches. When <br />risers are closed, all treads may have a uniform projection not to <br />exceed 1 i/2 inches. The greatest riser height shall not exceed the <br />smallest by more than 3/8 inch. (R-213.1) <br /> <br />Handrails meeting the following requirements shall be provided on at <br />least one side of stairways. The handgrip portion of handrails shall be <br />not more than 2 5/8 inches in cross-sectional dimension, or the shape <br />shall provide an equivalent gripping surface. Handrails shall be <br />mounted between a minimum of 30 inches and a maximum of 38 inches. They <br />shall be continuous the full length of the stairs. Ends shall be <br />returned or shall terminate in newel posts or safety terminals. <br />(R-214.1) <br /> <br />Open sides of stairs with a total rise of more than 30 inches above the <br />floor or grade below shall have guardrails not less than 34 inches in <br />height measured vertically from the nosing of the treads. (R-214.1) <br />Guardrail shall have intermediate rails or ornamental closures which <br />will not allow passage of an object 6 in. or more in diameter. <br />Horimontal spacing between the vertical members in required guardrails <br />shall be a maximum of 4 inches at the nearest point between the members. <br />(R-214.2) <br /> <br />"APPROVED" only when this sheet is attached to plans <br /> <br /> <br />
