(17~2) <br /> <br />Portable fire extinguishers shall be provided and installed as required <br />by applicable standards and as directed by the authority having <br />jurisdiction. (U.F.C. 10.505; U.F.C. Std. NO. 10-1) <br /> <br />This site, building and facilities are required to be accessible to and <br />useable by the physically handicapped. Details and dimensions not shown <br />shall comply with Public Law 101-336, the Americans with Disabilities <br />Act, Part III; Department of Justice Regulations of Friday, July 26, <br />1991; 28 C.F.R., Part 36, including Americane with Disabilities Act <br />Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) and Public Law 100-430 and the <br />regulations adopted thereunder and the requirements of chapter 31. <br />(3101) <br /> <br />Accessible routes shall be provided between buildings and accessible <br />cite facilities (accessible parking spaces) in compliance with Chapter <br />31 of the Oregon Structural Specialty Code. The accessible route shall <br />be the most practical direct route between accessible building entries, <br />accessible cite facilities and the accessible entry to the site. An <br />accessible route shall connect to the public right-of-way. <br /> <br />An acceceible route is a "continuous unobstructed path connecting all <br />accessible elements and spaces of a building or facility .... Exterior <br />accessible routes may include connections to the public right-of-way, <br />parking access aisles, curb ramps, crosswalks at vehicular ways, walks, <br />ramps and lifts." (3102) <br /> <br />Submit a site plan and details large enough to show compliance with <br />Section 3103 (Exterior Routes of Travel), Section 3104 (Parking <br />Paeilities) and Section 3106 (Building Accessibility). (3103) <br /> <br />There shall be a floor or landing on each side of a door. When access <br />for persons with disabilities is required by chapter 31, the floor or <br />landing shall not be more than 1/2 inch lower than the threshold of the <br />doorway. Landings shall be level except for exterior landings, which <br />may have a slope not to exceed 1/4 inch per foot. (3304)(i)) <br /> <br />Approval of submitted plans is not an approval of omissions or oversights by <br />thic office or of noncompliance with any applicable regulations of loca~ <br />government. <br /> <br />This project may be subject to the architectural standards of the Americans <br />with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA).
