NE, Aurora <br />January 4, 1993 <br />Page I <br /> <br />Marion C, ounty <br /> ORI:GON <br />COMMUN[¥Y DEVELOPMENT <br />DE PAPJMIENT <br /> <br />Building inspection - Dwelling Plan Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with the state of Oregon <br />1990 Edition One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Code. <br /> <br />Approved numbers or addresses shall be placed on all buildings in such a <br />position as to be plainly visible and legible from the street or road <br />fronting the property. (UFC 10.208) <br /> <br />The structural supports for decks, balconies, porches or similar <br />structures shall be pressure-treated wood to protect against decay. <br />(R-308.1) <br /> <br />Provide at least 1 square foot of underfloor ventilation for each 150 <br />square feet of crawl space area. The openings shall be covered with a <br />corrosion resistant wire mesh. At least one such opening shall be <br />provided within 3 feet of each corner of the building. (R-309.1) <br /> <br />Every sleeping room shall have at least one operable window approved for <br />emergency egress or rescue. The window sill height shall not be more <br />than 44 inches above the floor. The minimum net clear opening width <br />dimension shall be 20 inches. The minimum net opening height shall be <br />24 inches. The minimum net clear opening area shall be at least 5.7 <br />square feet. (R-210.2) <br /> <br />A 1 3/8 inch solid wood door between the garage and residence does not <br />meet the 0.20 U value requirement for exterior doors required for Energy <br />Paths gl - $8. If a 20 minute rated door is used it must be labelled as <br />complying with the 0.20 U value. <br /> <br />A readily accessible attic access shall be provided to any attic area <br />having a clear height of over 30 inches. A framed opening not less than <br />22 in. by 30 in. is required. (R-708) <br /> <br />Roof trusses are required to be designed by an Oregon registered <br />Engineer or Architect. For trusses manufactured by an approved <br />fabrication plant, have the design and layout drawings available at the <br />construction site for the framing inspection. Ail job site cutting or <br />modification of the roof trusses shall be clearly shown in the <br />engineer's design calculations and drawings. If trusses are to be built <br />at the job site, submit the engineer's design and construction plans to <br />the Marion County Building Department prior to start of construction and <br />have the approved drawings available at the site for the framing <br />inspection. <br /> <br />Factory built chimneys shall conform to the conditions of their listing <br />and the manufacturer's instructions.
