120 Lakesrest Dr, Detroit <br />October 23, 1991 <br />page i <br /> <br />.Marion Coun_ ty <br /> OREGON <br />COMMLJNS'Y D~VJ~LOPk4J~NT <br />DEPAR, TMJ~NT <br /> <br />Su£1ding ~nspectioa - Dwelling Plan Review <br /> <br />The attached plans have been reviewed for compliance with the State of Oregon <br />1990 ~dition One and Two Family Dwelling Specialty Code. <br /> <br />6x10 DF tie beam required in ground floor system located 12 feet from <br />end wall with large deck. A Simpson Hi33 (heavy angle) shall be <br />installed on each side of the beam with a 5/8" dia. machine bolt into <br />the 6xl0 tie beam and an expansion bolts into the basement walls. <br /> <br />18 ga. steel plate (5"x17") required at interface of 6x8 beams with 2 - <br />3/4" dia. machine bolts located per engineered drawings. <br /> <br />Simpson HHUC612 (heavy duty joist hangers) shall be installed at each <br />6x8 beam to ground foot connection. <br /> <br />See sheet 6 of engineer's drawings for details on bracket to hang 6x12 <br />DFL #1 beam at edge of loft one story above 6x10 tie beam. <br /> <br />The grade away from foundation walls shall fall a minimum of 6 in. <br />within the first 10 ft., except as restricted by lot lines where the <br />fall will be a minimum of 6 in. regardless of the horizontal distance <br />available. (R~301.3) <br /> <br />Exterior foundation walls of masonry construction enclosing basements <br />shall be dampproofed. Foundation walls of habitable rooms located below <br />grade shall be waterproofed. (R-306.1) <br /> <br />The structural supports for decks, balconies, porches or similar <br />structures shall be pressure-treated wood to protect against decay. <br />(R-308.1) <br /> <br />Handrails meeting the following requirements shall be provided on at <br />least one side of stairways. The handgrip portion of handrails shall be <br />not more than 2 5/8 inches in cross-sectional dimension, or the shape <br />shall provide an equivalent gripping surface. Handrails shall be <br />mounted between a minimum of 30 inches and a maximum of 34 inches. They <br />shall be continuous the full length of the stairs. Ends ehall be <br />returned or shall terminate in newel posts or safety terminals. <br />(R-214.1) <br /> <br />Open sides of stairs with a total rise of more than 30 inches above the <br />floor or grade below shall have guardrail. (R-214.1) Guardrail shall <br />be not less than 36 inches in height. Guardrail shall have intermediate <br />rails or ornamental closures which will not allow passage of an object 6 <br />in. or more in diameter.
