RIVERSIDE ENGINEERING CO.

Oregon State Building Codes
Mobile Home Seotlon
1535 ~dgewater NW
Salem~ OR 97310
Attn: Allen Aschim

ROBERT E. WOOD, RE.

Dear Alien,

In reference to our phone conversation last week about
jurisdiction of Mobile Home Parks within Marion County, more
specifically in Aumsville. This letter is requesting a written
determination as to who has jurisdictional authority of the Mobile
HOme Park rules and regulations as stated in OAR 918-600. We are
especially interest in matters regarding setbacks between Mobile
Homes, and Mobile Homes and accessory buildings.

We would also like a determination as tO what constitutes an
accessory building. We are being told that porches and decks
serving the mobile homes are an accessory building/structure and
these items have to satisfy the setback reguirements of accessory
buildings.

As was mentioned in our phone conversation there seems to be
a conflict between Oregon State Mobile Home Park Codes and City of
Aumsville'e Codes, and while the setbacks meet Ore,on code they do
not meet city of Aumsville's codes, and this is causing some
problems in some of the homes that have been set in accordance with
the Oregon State rules and that were accepted by the Marion County
Building Dept..

I wish to thank you at this time for your prompt and
expeditious attention to this matter, and for you help and
assistance you have given us. If you should have any questions
in this matter please call me at 581-6362.

Sincerely,

Gary D. Ray

1193 ROY'VONNE AVE, S.E. SALEM, OREGON 97302

TEL (503) 581-6362
