Roof trusses are required to be <br />designed by an Oregon registered engineer or architect. When the truss <br />supplier is seleete~, submit the structural drawings and design <br />calculations for review. <br /> <br />Where roof drains are required, overflow drains having the same size as <br />the roof drains shall be installed with the inlet flow line located 2 <br />inches above the low point of the ~oof, or overflow scuppers having <br />three times the size of the roof drains may be installed in adjacent <br />parapet walls with the inlet flow line located 2 inches above the low <br />point of the adjacent roof and having a minimum opening height of 4 <br />inches. Overflow drains shall be connected to drain lines independent <br />from thm roof drains. (3207(c)) <br /> <br />Bn¢losed attics and rafter spaces shall have cross ventilation for each <br />separate space. The net free ventilating area shall be not less than <br />1/150 of the area o~ the space ventilated~ <br /> <br />The design of steel used structurally in buildings shall conform to the <br />requirements specified in U.B.C Chapter 27 and U.B.C. Standard NO. 27-1. <br />Where the design uses ASTM A-36 steel with yield strength (Fy) greater <br />than 36 k~i, as an alternate material, the metal building designer shall <br />submit mill certifications showing the yield strength from tests on the <br />steel incorporated into the building exceed the design Fy by 10%. <br /> <br />The metal building calculations and plans submitted do not show the <br />design or details of the bridge crane indicated on the floor plan. <br />Submit plans and engineering calculations for the crane. Include the <br />effects of the crane loads on the metal buildin~ frame. <br /> <br />Approval of submitted plans is not an approval of omissions or oversights by <br />this office or of noncompliance with any applicable regulations of local <br />government. <br /> <br />Local Fire Districts may have additional requirements that affect this <br />project.
