49930 N Santiam Hwy SE SITE VISIT REPORT
Idanha, OR 97350-9503 State Farm Claim No. 37-11K4-75P
-€ ?, **W,
✓
.r ` r n •
. f(Jr
 r ....
s.4
x
!2.3
 t r' j • sP res
•
. . ..
'UPPER CRACKS' ZONE [FIGURE 101]
Upon review of past driveway photos, there was a photo taken in 2017 from a
similar angle (but not the same) to a photo taken during my site visit. In both photos
the ground is wet, having rain water flowing down the driveway. There is a very
similar pattern between the 2017 and 2021 conditions, with the light and texture
around the perimeter of the "Upper Cracks." [See Figures 102 & 103 below, showing
'before' and 'after' photos, cropped to zoom in on the location in question. Also see
Figures 104 & 105, which are further cropped and zoomed, with yellow highlights to
emphasize the locations of the "L" shaped cracking.]
It appears that the cracks substantially existed prior to the date-of-loss.
However, it is possible that cracking was slightly exacerbated due to relatively heavy
loads, for example tree cutting vehicles and a loaded propane tank transport vehicle
in September to December 2020, as well as potential freeze/thaw during Winter
2020-2021. But, it's more possible that the diagonal crack highlighted in Figure 101
above could have been caused by one or more of these factors. [See Figures 106,
107, & 108 below, showing tree cutting and propane transport trucks on the
driveway, especially along the West edge.]
Report Date: March 28, 2021 Page 39 of 44
Site Visit Date: March 6, 2021 Taylor& Syfan Consulting Engineers, Inc.
