The recommended insulation resistance testing involving non-metallic cables installed on the west side of the home is a precautionary measure only. • We consider the reported damage involving home electrical system components and appliances was consistent with damage that typically occurs as a result of power surges. • Please refer to the Analysis Section regarding our assessments of the reportedly damaged electrical system components and appliances from the main residence. • The extent of restoration involved with the home electrical system components and appliances does not warrant upgrading of the home electrical system to satisfy current National Electrical Code requirements.
