49930 N Santiam Hwy SE SITE VISIT REPORT
Idanha, OR 97350-9503 State Farm Claim No. 37-11K4-75P
considered a short term solution. Another method of repair could be to sawcut out
the burn spot and cracks, recompact or replace base, and install asphalt patch.
However, this could end up creating new problems in the future by introducing joints
which could eventually result in new cracking at the joint edges, especially where
subjected to vehicular loading. The best method of repair may be to fill the cracks
with epoxy and slurry seal a continuous layer over the driveway.
EARTHQUAKES
To rule out the possibility of damage or effects from seismic shaking,
earthquake histories were investigated.
Querying earthquake history for Oregon from September 1, 2020 through
March 6, 2021 (date of site visit), the closest earthquake to the site that was greater
than magnitude 2.5 was a magnitude 2.7 earthquake, which occurred on January 17,
2021, 46 miles to the Northeast, near Government Camp. A magnitude 3.5
earthquake occurred on February 8, 2021, 61 miles to the Northwest, near Parkdale.
These earthquakes would not have had any effect on the Property.
REFERENCES
The following codes, documents, and resources were reviewed in part or consulted
in the writing of this report:
• 2017 Oregon Residential Specialty Code (ORSC); based upon the 2015
International Residential Code (IRC); International Code Council, Inc.
