<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Records Coordinator <br />Class Code: <br />052 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$20.32 - $27.20 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br /> Non-Exempt06 Administrative SupportCounty Clerk <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Oversees all archiving, records management and microfilming projects in the County Clerk's office. <br />Oversees the daily operation of the County Archives and provides advice and assistance to other County <br />departments on archives and records management. Performs related work as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the supervision of the Licensing and Records Supervisor who assigns work, establishes <br />goals, and reviews results obtained for overall effectiveness. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Exercises lead responsibility over clerical and technical personnel engaged in microfilming, records <br />storage, and related activities; provides training, reviews work, organizes, plans, and schedules work <br />assignments, provides input on employee performance evaluations, provides guidance in daily activities, <br />provides technical expertise, acts a resource on difficult points of procedure, and participates in the <br />selection of new personnel. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Oversees the microfilming of land records including proofing film auditing FTP site and maintaining <br />Silver and Diazo films. <br />2.Trains personnel in all phases of micrographics, i.e., arranging files, filming, reviewing, splicing, <br />duplication and quality control testing. <br />3.Maintains microfilm and scanning equipment including routing cleaning and maintenance requests. <br />4.Administers the county's contracts with outside microfilm development firm; ensures county is <br />billed correctly for services received. <br />5.Acts as liaison with the State Archives Division for interpretation and clarification of OAR's and <br />ORS's pertaining to records. <br />6.As a lead worker, oversees the daily operation of the County Archives in the areas of shipping and <br />receiving, analyzing records, and accepting or rejecting records for storage in the County Archives. <br />7.Provides advice, training and assistance to County departments on archives and records <br />management including retention, destruction and best practices.
