Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />5.Reviews departmental administrative procedures and recommends changes. Develops process for <br />change implementation. <br />6.Prepares varied and complex reports, assembles or supervises the assembly of data for regular <br />and recurring reports related to services of the department; researches issues; develops new <br />reports to meet department needs. <br />7.Prepares and administers department contracts for services, monitors contracts for compliance. <br />8.Monitors grants for correct reporting of expenditures, prepares necessary financial reports related <br />to grants, assures compliance with grant requirements <br />9.Selects, trains, coaches, evaluates and disciplines assigned staff; assigns and reviews work. <br />10.Provides support to various projects at the direction of the manager or department head; performs <br />other duties as assigned. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Two (2) years of college course work in business administration, accounting, social sciences or <br />related work; AND <br />2.Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in office administration and budget <br />preparation and coordination; AND <br />3.Two (2) years of supervisory experience (may be concurrent); OR <br />4.Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training which <br />demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />Considerable knowledge of: the methods and practices of supervision and the ability to carry them out. <br />Considerable knowledge of effective office practices. <br />Ability to: supervise other individuals, train employees and effectively utilize available human <br />resources; prepare budget and utilize accounting procedures; communicate effectively in both verbal and <br />written form; form effective working relationships with department heads and other county personnel. <br />ADOPTED: <br />02/05 <br />MARKET REVIEW: <br />2/05; 07/13; 05/20 <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br />
