System plans are approved as submitted. Refer to approved plans dated June 28,
.2018. Any deviation from the approved plans must be authorized by this office prior to installation or the permit
may be voided. Peak .
sewage flow into the system is limited to a maximum of 450 gallons per day, with an average sewage flow of
not more than 225 gallons per day. Premature failure of the treatment system may occur if either of these flow
quantities is exceeded. If,for some reason, you expect your domestic household water use may exceed these
flows, it is advisable to increase the size of the treatment system.
EFFLUENT SEWER:The effluent sewer is the pipe from the septic tank to the distribution box. The material
required is 3034 or Schedule 40 pipe with 18-gauge minimum green tracer wire or green metallic -._ 91,9_2ed
along the pipe. Pumping every 3 to 5 years is an average interval. The septic tank is a
reservoir for the solid materials in the sewage waste stream. Excessive accumulation of these solid materials in
the septic tank will cause the solids to wash out of the tank and into the drainfield. This will cause irreversible
damage to the drainfield and will eventually lead to a system failure.
THE APPROVED SEPTIC SYSTEM AREA MUST BE PROTECTEDfrom any vehicular traffic, livestock and
farming activities. Other activities such as excavating or filling, driveway placement, paving or other similar
activities that alter the natural soil conditions will adversely affect the soil and the septic system function and
lead to premature system failure. The area must not be subjected to excessive saturation due to artificial
drainage of ground surfaces, driveways, building downspouts or other sources. The areas of the initial septic
system and the future repair system must both be protected.
6/29/18:3:41:00PM Page 2 of 3 - ONS_OnsitePermit_pr
