This review is for
parcel 1, an 11 acre lot being reduced to 9.09 acres.
The Marion County file records have no information as to the size or the location of the existing septic
system serving this property.
The site plan suggests that the system rests to the northwest of the existing dwelling. The property owner
certifies that the system has been identified in this area and is not failing. There appears to be adequate
room for a repair system noted on the plans.
THIS RECORD REVIEW IS BASED ON THE INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY THE APPLICANT.
Please refer to the signed site plan dated May 23, 2019.
THE SEPTIC SYSTEM AREA.MUST BE PROTECTED from any vehicular traffic, livestock and , -
farming activities. Other activities such as logging, excavating or filling, driveway placement or any
similar activities may also damage the soil in the area and adversely affect the septic system approval.
The areas of the initial septic system and the future repair area must both be protected.
THE SEPTIC TANK SHOULD BE PUMPED AND INSPECTED by a licensed septic tank pumping
service approximately EVERY FIVE(5) YEARS. The septic tank is a reservoir for the solid materials in
the sewage waste stream. Excessive accumulation of these solid materials in the septic tank will cause
the solids to wash out of the tank and into the drainfield. This will cause irreversible damage to the
drainfield and will eventually lead to a system failure.
5155 Silverton Rd NE—Salem,Oregon 97305-3802—Phone(503)588-5147—Fax(503)588-7948
