Duerr,EHST, Onsite Wastewater Specialist
SEPTIC SYSTEM RECORD REVIEW
This record review was conducted in conjunction with Property Line Adjustment Case number 19-001.
The proposal is to dissolve the line separating tax lot 093W30 00700 and tax lot 093W30 00701 and
create a new 4 acre parcel of tax lot 093W30 00700.
The Marion County records show that a site evaluation was approved for the proposed parcel under
activity number 555-16-003661. The site evaluation report indicates two usable areas both approved for a .
standard septic system. The usable area around test pit#3 in the indicated site evaluation report has
been voided due to well placement too close to the usable area.
A site visit was made on April 9, 2019. The proposed property lines do not appear to interfere with the
approved usable area.
The minimum requirements for the usable area around test pits #1 and #2 includes a standard septic
system designed for a maximum daily flow of 450 gallons per day, with a minimum 1000 gallon tank.
The drainfield will require 450 lineal feet of drainline installed at 18”minimum 24"maximum.
THIS RECORD REVIEW IS BASED ON THE INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY THE APPLICANT.
Please refer to the signed site plan dated April 10, 2019.
THE SEPTIC SYSTEM AREA MUST BE PROTECTED from any vehicular traffic, livestock and
farming activities. Other activities such as logging, excavating or filling, driveway placement or any
similar activities may also damage the soil in the area and adversely affect the septic system approval.
The areas of the initial septic system and the future repair area must both be protected.
THE SEPTIC TANK SHOULD BE PUMPED AND INSPECTED by a licensed septic tank pumping
service approximately EVERY FIVE (5) YEARS. The septic tank is a reservoir for the solid materials in
the sewage waste stream. Excessive accumulation of these solid materials in the septic tank will.cause
the solids to wash out of the tank and into the drainfield. This will cause irreversible damage to the
drainfield and will eventually lead to a system failure.
5155 Silverton Rd NE-Salem,Oregon 97305-3802' Phone(503)588-5147-Fax(503)588-7948
