The trenches and perforated pipe are installed level (+/- one inch) and contoured to follow the natural ground surface. THE ATTACHED ORANGE CARD MUST BE POSTED AT THE COUNTY ROAD prior to requesting an inspection. The card must be located near the driveway to the property to assist the inspector in locating the access onto the site. OBSERVE ALL SETBACKS AND SEPARATION DISTANCES as required by the DEQ rules. The well placement is especially critical and must be located at least one-hundred (100) feet from the approved initial and replacement DRAIN FIELD areas. A copy of the. DEQ setback requirements is available in our office. THIS SYSTEM MUST BE INSPECTED AND APPROVED PRIOR TO BACKFILL. When work is complete and ready for inspection, call our Automated Inspection Request line at 373-4427 to request an inspection. Enter the number "801" for a PRE-COVER Inspection. You may leave a message for the inspector if desired. Be sure the System Record form with the AS-Built drawing is on the job or in our office when the inspection is requested. An inspection should be completed within seven (7) days. THE APPROVED SEPTIC SYSTEM AREA MUST BE PROTECTED from any vehicular traffic, livestock and farming activities. Other activities such as logging, excavating or filling, driveway placement or any similar activities may also damage the soil in the area and adversely affect the septic system approval. The areas of the initial septic system and the future repair system must both be protected. See specific review requirements on attached document.
