<br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: <br />Marion County Hearings Officer/Phinney <br />FROM: <br />Marion County Planning Division/Kirsher <br />SUBJECT: <br />Conditional Use Case #93-59/Hitt <br />DATE: <br />July 1, 2009 <br />The Marion County Planning Division has reviewed the <br />above-referenced application and offers the following <br />comments: <br />FACTS: <br />1.The subject property is designated Primary Agri- <br />culture in the Marion County Comprehensive Plan. <br />The intent of this designation and the correspond- <br />ing EFU (EXCLUSIVE FARM USE) zone is to encourage <br />the continuation of commercial agricultural and <br />forestry uses. The breeding, boarding and train- <br />ing of horses not owned by the property owner or <br />resident may be allowed provided the proposal <br />complies with certain criteria. <br />2.The 10 acre parcel is located on the south side of <br />State Street, approximately 1,300 feet west of its <br />intersection with 70th Avenue. <br />3.Surrounding properties are primarily devoted to <br />agricultural operations on EFU zoned land.
