<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Human Resources <br />Analyst Senior <br />Class Code: <br />059 <br />Bargaining Unit: 13 - Non-Supervisory <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$2,536.80 - $3,399.20 Biweekly <br />$5,496.40 - $7,364.93 Monthly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Exempt02 ProfessionalsBusiness Services <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Provides specific consultation and technical services to county departments in the area of human <br />resources regarding complex issues; serves as a technical expertise to department heads, managers, <br />supervisors, employees and other agencies; performs other related duties as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of the human resources manager, who assigns work, reviews <br />performance and measures results; expected to exercise a high level of independence combined with <br />professional judgment related to established policy, procedures and guidelines. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of others is not a responsibility of positions in this classification; however, may exercise lead <br />direction over designated human resources functions or positions. In the absence of the human <br />resources manager may be assigned the managers' responsibilities on a temporary basis. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Assists the human resources manager in the administration of human resources functions <br />including reclassifications, compensation studies, labor contracts, personnel rules, employee <br />relations, and labor negotiations. <br />2.Reviews and updates the position classification plans; conducts desk audits to determine <br />appropriate classification of positions; recommends appropriate classification changes and <br />prepares specifications. <br />3.Conducts market compensation studies and prepares recommendations on the justification for <br />establishing the level of new or existing pay ranges. <br />4.Provides information on, and interpretation and application of personnel rules, collective bargaining <br />agreements, federal and state labor regulations and other information to employees, other <br />departments, agencies and unions as required. <br />5.Reviews and evaluates the impact of new labor laws on county policies, rules, contracts, and <br />processes; develops, gains approval for and implements new county policies and procedures in <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
