<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Business Systems <br />Analyst <br />Class Code: <br />090 <br />Bargaining Unit: 13 - Non-Supervisory <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$2,536.80 - $3,399.20 Biweekly <br />$5,496.40 - $7,364.93 Monthly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Exempt02 ProfessionalsMultipleDepartments <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Performs systems analysis and development activities for large scale projects or system applications and <br />processes that are complex and of significant operational impact; responsible for working with internal <br />and external customers to translate and document business and operational requirements; conducts <br />business and work process analyses, analyzes data requirements and reporting needs and develops <br />recommended systems solutions to meet requirements; and participates in systems tests to ensure <br />conformance with system specifications and works with others to resolve identified problems. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of a department head or designee, who assigns work and reviews <br />work for conformance to established policy and procedures. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. However, the <br />incumbent may lead or coordinate the work of contracted staff, professional, finance, information <br />technology and administrative support staff participating in large scale or system applications and <br />processes. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Interviews customers and analyzes business rules and process requirements; identifies and <br />analyzes complex, ambiguous or conflicting work process, information management, and reporting <br />issues; develops and refines business process and entity relationships; and meets with customers <br />to discuss systems and process alternatives capable of meeting their business needs; <br />recommends work process or operating changes to complement technology solutions. <br />2.Analyzes system data, processes and system interactions; identifies alternatives for establishing <br />systems and data interfaces; and assists in developing specifications of system enhancements <br />and maintenance projects. <br />3.Participates in evaluating vendor product packages and their fit with customer requirements; <br />researches and recommends hardware, network or software characteristics and requirements; and <br />writes system requirements or specification documents. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
