<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Library Assistant <br />Class Code: <br />099 <br />Bargaining Unit: 06 - Marion County Employees <br />Association <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$17.06 - $22.83 Hourly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br /> Non-Exempt 05 ParaprofessionalsLegal Counsel <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Performs general and specialized library work in the Law Library; performs related work as required. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general supervision of the Law Librarian who assigns duties and reviews work. May <br />work many hours without supervision. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of others is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Receives, shelves and files incoming materials for the Law Library. <br />2.Assists library users, which may include training and assisting users with print and electronic <br />resources. <br />3.Operates computers to research legal information through Westlaw, Lexis, government websites, <br />CD's and other databases. <br />4.Maintains public access computer network including website updates and minor program definition <br />edits. <br />5.Catalogs books. Provides assistance to Librarian in reviewing library collections. Assists Librarian <br />in planning and implementing changes in operation and services. <br />6.Assists with fiscal management tasks to include; processing accounts payables, preparing <br />purchase orders, preparing accounts receivables and maintaining petty cash. <br />7.Processes incoming and outgoing mail. <br />8.Other projects as assigned. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
