<br />Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />Emergency <br />Preparedness <br />Class Code: <br />Coordinator <br />407 <br />Bargaining Unit: 13 - Non-Supervisory <br />MARION COUNTY <br />SALARY RANGE <br />$1,044.80 - $1,398.80 Weekly <br />$4,527.47 - $6,061.47 Monthly <br />OVERVIEW: <br />FLSA: EEOC: Department: <br />Exempt02 ProfessionalsPublic Works <br />GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES <br />Performs complex analysis and coordination activities in the development and implementation of <br />emergency management programs that have departmental, county, regional, and statewide scope and <br />impact. Coordinates development of comprehensive emergency management plans. Performs other <br />related duties as assigned. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED <br />Works under the general direction of the County Emergency Manager who sets goals and reviews work <br />for conformance to county, state and federal policies and legal requirements. <br />SUPERVISION EXERCISED <br />Supervision of other employees is not a responsibility of positions in this classification; however, <br />incumbent will provide technical direction to county employees during emergencies, disasters, mass <br />casualty/mass fatality, and bio/cyber terrorism incidents. May also provide leadership over administrative <br />and professional staff for specific projects. <br />EXAMPLES OF DUTIES - DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED <br />TO THE FOLLOWING: <br />1.Develops and maintains comprehensive emergency management plans, to include the Emergency <br />Operations Plan, the Hazard Mitigation Plan, the Recovery Plan and Continuity of <br />Government/Operations plans. <br />2.Assists local jurisdictions in developing their emergency management plans; assists in developing, <br />maintaining and operating the county's Emergency Operations Center; acts as an advisor to the <br />Emergency Operations Center staff in responding to emergencies; may act as the plans section <br />chief. <br />3.Assists in the development of the county's all-hazard threat and capabilities assessment. <br />Researches available technologies applicable to the program area; establishes or recommends <br />evaluation criteria and methodologies; coordinates technical assessment of current systems and <br />data, recommends new and enhanced technologies to achieve program goals, prepares and <br />administers grant proposals and procurement. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
