Marion County Class Specification BulletinPage of <br />>>> <br />5.Monitor project status to ensure progress toward completion; complete required steps within <br />timelines; modify project plan as necessary in response to unforeseen changes or unexpected <br />developments and informs management partners and stakeholders; coordinate changes with team <br />members; identify potential difficulties or barriers to meeting project goals and take steps to <br />mitigate or avoid. <br />6.Responds to and resolves concerns, complaints, and/or other related issues received from internal <br />staff, the general public, outside agencies, and/or other interested parties. <br />7.Prepares, reviews, interprets, and analyzes a variety of information, data, and reports; makes <br />recommendations based on findings; maintains applicable databases, files, and/or records. <br />8.Participates in the preparation and administration of the unit budget; prepares cost estimates and <br />submits justifications for budget items; monitors and controls expenditures. <br />9.Analyzes future technological and architectural trends; makes recommendations to IT Program <br />Manager for defining clear objectives for county technology as part of long range strategic planning <br />and technology deployment. <br />10.Other related duties as assigned. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <br />EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING <br />1.Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, management information systems, <br />business administration or related field; AND <br />2.Two (2) years of IT project management or technically related experience (Depending on the <br />position experience in a specialized field may be required i.e. application development relevant to <br />SQL or Oracle databases, web development and design, Geographic Information Systems and <br />related disciplines); AND <br />3.Two (2) years of supervisory or three (3) years *lead experience in an IT related field which may <br />be concurrent with other required experience; OR <br />4.Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience relevant to the <br />position. <br />5.Lead experience must have included: training; reviewing the work of others; organizing, planning, <br />and scheduling work assignments; providing input on employee performance evaluations; <br />providing guidance in daily activities; providing technical expertise; acting as a resource on difficult <br />points of procedures; and providing assistance to and making recommendations in the hiring <br />process. <br />KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES <br />General knowledge of: methods, processes and operating principles of Windows server, IIS, and SQL <br />Server administration; web design, development and maintenance; methods and techniques of project <br />management and business analysis; supervision and best established best practices in effectively <br />operating a service desk operation; practices and methods of maintaining data privacy; business and <br />management principles involved in strategic planning, production methods and coordination of people <br />and resources; and research methods for emerging technologies. <br />Skill and ability to: identify complex problems and develop or evaluate options and implement solutions; <br />analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems; effectively <br />communicate in person and in groups; write clear and concise memorandums, reports or other <br />documents; use logic and reasoning in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, <br />conclusions or approaches to problems; manage projects typical to the job assignment; be diligent about <br />detail and thorough in completing work tasks; effectively prioritize tasks and plans; explain what <br />information means and how it can be used; establish effective working relationships with internal and <br />external customers; be pleasant with others on the job and display good-natured, cooperative attitude; <br />accept criticism and deal calmly and effectively in high stress situations. <br />https://agency.governmentjobs.com/marion/default.cfm?action=specbulletin&ClassSpecID=...8/3/2020 <br /> <br />
