Because I am not certain that my authority to deal
directly with Mr. Berrey extends to the submission of this
application, I am sending the enclosed to you for forwarding to Mr.
Berrey.
Pursuant to your suggestion, the application expressly
indicates that at this time we are only seeking reimbursement for
direct moving expenses but reserve the right to submit an
additional or supplemental application for other benefits at a
later time. If this
understanding is incorrect, please let me know.
You may recall that in response to my question concerning
whether our application for direct moving expenses must include one
or more inventories, you indicated that Mr. Berrey's initial
reaction was that no such material would be required. Since we
have not heard otherwise, in preparing the attached application I
assumed that no documentation was required beyond the application
itself and the two estimates. If, however, Mr. Berrey concludes
that he will need one or more inventories, please let me know at
your earliest convenience so that we can begin preparing the
required documents.
I also wanted to follow up on our earlier discussion with
respect to what effect, if any, Mr. Doyle's decision to leave the
firm as of April 1, 1997, will have on the available benefits. I
have not yet fully researched the question of whether the firm,
