To summarize, our moving-related expense claims are as follows:
Total claim for direct losses of tangible personal property: $5,993.33
Total claim for replacement stationery: $1,082.50
Total claim for replacement signs: $270.00
Total claim for necessary modifications: $4,745.00
Total claim for Relocation Site Search Expenses: $1,000.00
GRAND TOTAL of moving-related expenses: $13,090.83
2) Re-establishment Expenses:
Although we have spent well in excess of $10,000.00 on re-establishment
expenses, we are submitting claims for no more than $10,000.00 in light of the
$10,000.00 cap on recovery of such expenses. ~gg 49 C.F.R. sec. 24.304.
A) Advertising new business location - mailing regarding relocation and
postage -$386.25 (copy of invoice for printed announcements attached,
the remainder of this amount is for postage for the announcements)
B) Increased lease charges, increased personal or real property taxes,
increased insurance premiums, etc. for two year period following
relocation. (A copy of the first page of the lease for our
replacement premises, which show the monthly lease charges, is attached.
Because Marion County purchased our former premises prior to our
dislocation, the County presently has a copy of our lease with Mr. and
Mrs. Goldberg which shows the monthly rental of $975.00 for that
premises).
B) Modifications to replacement real property to make the structure suitable
for business operation:
Although our lease charges, standing alone, exceed the $10,000.00 cap on
relocation benefits, we have opted to include a few representative
-3-
