I am presently in the <br />process of finalizing the remainder of our claim and expect to submit the requisite materials within the <br />next several weeks. <br />I am assuming that your request to hear from us within ten days of your letter was intended to <br />facilitate the County's planning with respect to the project and was not intended to impose a deadline for <br />the submission of the remainder of our application. We were advised by Mr. Berrey and his counsel <br />some months ago that we have up to eighteen months from the date of relocation to submit our claim for <br />benefits. This representation is consistent with the federal Department of Transportation regulations <br />which apply to the benefits at issue. S~ee 49 C.F.R. sec. 24.207(d). If you have a different understanding <br />of the deadline for submission of the balance of our benefits claim, please let me know. <br />I will forward the remaining portion of our benefit claim to you within the next few weeks.
