The purpose of this conespondence is to request additional clarification to the <br />design team regarding your bid for the removal of the basements and shoring from the above <br />referenced project. Please respond in writing to the following list of questions prior to July 30, <br />1997: <br />1. Is this bid based on time and materials, not to exceed the price indicated? Is this <br />reasonably what the County can expect to pay? <br />2. Your bid includes mobilization, since you are already on the job site, what would be <br />included in this mobilization charge? <br />3. Please provide the following unit prices for removal of the basements and shoring. What <br />will it cost for removal of walls and footings if they are disturbed? What are your <br />equipment and labor rates? <br />4. How much credit will be provided to the original demolition contract for not providing the <br />shoring and bracing as originally specified? <br />5. An effort is going to be made to identify the depth of the slabs in the basements. The plan <br />is to remove any slab at a depth less than eleven feet.
