The <br />financing is expected to occur during the 4`~' Quarter of this year with a closing on or <br />about ye~tr-end. <br />The proposed schedule for underwriter selectian i~ as follows: <br />Distrihute RFP 7une l, 1998 <br />Proposal Deadline June 19, 1998 <br />Underwriter Selection July 17, 1998 <br />`~-- Project Summarv_ g~~j,,, o-~- ~- <br />i <br />Cowrthouse Square (the "Project") will l~e located in d wntown Satem, adjacent to <br />th~ Marion County eourthouse. The full block Projec incorporates a new bus <br />transit center, public areas and.an approh.imately 141,3 rentable square foot <br />office building. The Project will also be developed with 1 block of subsurfacE <br />parking. .An additional building pad with the general dimensions of 2~7' X 50' will <br />be constructed at the north end of the block. <br />The site bounded by Chemel~ ~ieet NE, Church Street NE and Hi h Street NE <br />~ <br />is owned jointly by the County and Salem t~,rea Transit District ("TransiY') as part <br />of a condomanium agreement. Similarly, the completed Project will be owned <br />jointly by the County and Transit (th~ "Owners"). The north end opportunity pad <br />will likely be leased ta a deveioper under a long-term agreement. A private <br />developer will be selected to cre~te, finance and operate a mixed-use compon~nt <br />on the northern pnrtiun of the prop~rty. This component is not part of this <br />financing. <br />The new bus mall wi11 run (east/west) the full le~.~gth of the hlock. This area is <br />intended to create an inviting and com~'ortable environment for bus riders while at <br />the same time enhancing the efficiency and sa£ety of the aperation.
