SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION <br />The information beginning hzre and throughout the rest oJthis statement supplements the information provided in <br />the Annual Disclosure lnformation section and will not be provided annually to the NRMSIRs and SIDS, if any. <br />MARION COUNTY, OREGON <br />The County was established on July 5, 1843, one of the first four counties created by the Provisional Govemment, <br />16 years before statehood in 1859. The County is governed under the provisions of ORS 203.010 through <br />ORS 203.190 by a Board of County Commissioners consisting of three elected members. He was named director of the <br />Health Department in 1986 and served in that capacity until his appointment as acting County Administrator in <br />April 1998. The County Administrator directs and coordinates the overall operational and financial management of <br />the County in accordance with policies set by the Board of Counry Commissioners and coordinates local and <br />regional intergovernmental projects involving the County. He holds a masters degree in Social Work from the <br />University of Denver and a BS in Social Science from Oregon State University. <br />Michael J. Hansen, County Counsel, was appointed in 1995 after serving as an assistant legal counsel since 1982. <br />Prior to that time he was in private legal practice for five years after being admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 1977. <br />He holds a JD degree from Willamette University College of Law, an MA from the Monterey Institute of <br />International Studies, and a BA from St. Martin's College, Olympia, Washington. <br />Ken Roudybush, Senior Budget Analyst, has been the County's budget officer for 19 years and is responsible for ~ <br />the accounting and budget operations. He hold a BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern <br />California and an MBA from California State University at Long Beach. <br />27 <br />
