The concem expressed in their letter
regarding the size of stortn drain downstream from the site is irrteresting since it was Westech who initially
recommended the upsizing of the storrn drain aa+oss Chemeketa Street at Church Street. At the time of that
recommendation, there was some initial doubt whether Salem Public Worlcs would .be interested in this
improvemer~t. With the attached letter, they express concem that fu~ther improvements downstream may
be required.
~;- While the attached letter poses some concem, the exposure is relatively minor since presumably the
additional work would be pald for out of u~fian renewal funds, either form those allocated to the site, or from
future improvements to streetscape.
Should you have any further questions, please call.
Since ly,
eonard Lodder, . .
Archited
LL:as
cc: Billy Wasson, Marion County,
John Whittington, Salem Area Translt,
Encl.
9828.1 B ~
~
