~
e
~ From: JOHN RUSSELL
To: GWM2.M-MCDC1(BWASSON)
Date: 10/13/98 4:33pm
Subject: Council action last night -Reply
Billy:
Attached is a copy of the motion and some related discussion from last nighYs meeting. To summarize, they are
replacing the line items of canopies, bridges and arcade/pavilion/clock tower with an allowance of $160 per tineal
foot for a general weather protection allowance. County and Transit are free to augment that amount as needed.
Consuftant fees are a straight per centage of actual expenditures. City staff will review/approve all contracts,
designs, etc., that our funds are invoNed in. County/Transit responsibility for maintenance is no longer on the
table.
I suggest we meet next week when Dick Hayden returns to go over the specifics of an agreement. If you like, I can
send you a copy of the last agreement we participated in - the skybridge between Liberty Plaza and J.C. Penney's.
It was not intergovernmental, but it might be useful as to content, format, etc.
I suggest we try to meet Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning next week to get the ball rolling. I know you have a
deadline with the COPs and we don't want to slow that process down. Give me a call or an email and we can tie
down a time.
John
»> BILLY WASSON 10/13/98 09:16am »>
We have our staff coordinating meeting on our project on Thursday mornings, is it possible you could give me an
email or other communication be end of work day Wed. summarizing the council action last night and telling us
what else we need to do and/or submit to get the intergov't. agreement in place between the Counry and City.
I am very please with the cooperation and support we have received from you and the other staff there, thanks.
CC: whealy,rhayden
