From: RANDY CURTIS
To: M-MCDCI.BWASSON, M-MAR2.RFRANKE
Date: 9/28/98 10:11 am
Subject: Space allocation & teases- Ch2
Most of the space allocations and floor design issues have been finalized. There is one issue I became aware of
last week that may require a change to the District Attomey's area.
Funding from the 99 legislature may add more staff to the DA's office. Currently, MCHA also shares space on the
3rd floor. I talked with Dennis Kilfoil and he informed me that MCHA may also acquire more staff in the next 2-3
years.
The location of these finro departments on the same floor has caused some unique coordination problems that are
not fullly resolved. If the DA needs more space, it seems logical that we devote the entire 3rd floor to the DA and
move MCHA to the expansion space on the 5th floor.
We can probably wait until the 99 legislature acts on the DA budget etc, but it means we cannot commit to leasing
all the expansion space until we know if MCHA would be relocated. This decision would also affect the proforma
and the revenue generated from the expansion space.
Should we act now or wait 6-8 months when the legislature has acted?
CC: M-MAR2.CAUDISS, GWM1.M-LEGAL.MHANSEN, GWM1.M-MAR1....
