('onstruction Schedule Draft
Craig Lewis handed out a copy of a construction schedule that Melvin Mark completed. They
assumed a start date of April 1, 1998. Design time was worked out with Arbuckle Costic and they
have been given enough time to complete work. The actual construction time was given 16 months
from mobilization to owner turnover. This could be improved by general contractor choice and
more efficient methodologies. The targeted completion date was June 14, 2000.
Randy Curtis asked about revisiting a previous issue of phasing in occupancy of the building as the
floors were completed. Dan Petiusich responded that this schedule is set up to have all floors done
by completion date and this approach would have no real advantage or time advantage to pursue.
The physical move in of depa.rtments would take a phase-in effort to bring systems on line a.nd move
equipmentlfurniture. If the space plans for the building are completed ea.rly enough, tenant
improvements (TI's) can start on the lower floors first. The general contractor should be on boazd
to participate in this discussion. Some space planning has been started, but Randy Curtis and Billy
Wasson will meet with Leonard Lodder, Arbuckle Costic to follow up.
During a four hour county meeting for department heads on Tuesday, Courthouse Square update
was a major focus. It was determined it had been a while since depa.rtments were given an update
on space allocations, and we need to catch up our internal departments planning on moving into
Courthouse Square.
