From: ELYN LYON
To: BWasson, SDerting
Date: 1122/98 8:55am
Subject: Reduction in Administrative Fees for Courthouse Square Construction
The 1997/98 Courthouse Square Construction budget totaled $12,105,588 which included General Services Admin
Fees of $25,121 and Management Services Admin Fees of $52,910. YTD GSA has collected $12,560.52 and
Management Services collected $26,455.02. If we were to estimate the total expenditures for the project in FY
97/98 to be $1.5M the admin fees for GSAwould be $3,135 and MSA$6,603.
I propose we request Fiscal Services to refund the project $9,425.52 for GSA and $19,852.02 for MSA and stop all
cyclic billings for the rest of the fiscal year effective January 98 upon approval from the County Administrator.
If this were approved, then I would guess we need to prepare a supplemental budget request to make the
adjustments to close the fiscal year.
I do not know if it would be appropriate to request adjustments in Fiscal Services and liability premium charges.
Those two items total $5,000 for the whole fiscal year.
If we agreed to some large payments for services already rendered I must monitor the cashflow very carefully and if
this adjustment were in place it is one less ftem to track.
CC: KRoudybush, RCUrtis, EHorton, SMorrison
