Billy Wasson
August 18, 2000
Based on this information, the Department has determined that the site appears to be cleaned up in
accordance with Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) 340-122-0205 through -0360, and
no further action (NFA) is required at this time.
However, we remind you that the responsibility for environmental compliance and cleanup remains
with you. DEQ's review of this report in no way transfers any of that responsibility to the State of
Oregon. Furthermore, DEQ's current NFA deternunation will not be applicable if new or
undisclosed facts show that the cleanup does not comply with the referenced rules.
DEQ's determination also does not apply to any other conditions at the site, other than the release of
the petroleum product specifically addressed in your report.
Please note that pursuant to OAR 340-122-360 (2), a copy of your reports must be retained until ten
(10) years after the first sale of the property.
The Department wishes to acknowledge those parties who contributed to the improvement of the
environment. The Department recognizes and considers this a"Brownfields" site, for it clearly
meets the criteria, as defined by the US Environmental Protection Agency, of "abandoned, idle, or
under-used industrial and commercial facilities where expansion or redevelopment is complicated
by real or perceived environmental contamination."
