OREGCN 973D1-3594 T6LGPMONE SB$'25SO ACCOUNTANT'S COMPILATION REPORT December 16, 1997 Board of Commissioners Marion County, Oregon Salem, Oregon We have compiled the accompanying statement of assets and liabilities arising from cash transactions of the Courthouse Squaze Construction Project of Marion County, Oregon as of November 30, 1997, and the related statement of revenues collected, expenditures paid and changes in net assets for the period from inception through November 30, 1997, in accordance with Statements on Standazds for Accounting and Review Services issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The financial statements have been prepared on the cash basis of accounting, which is a comprehensive basis of accounting other than generally accepted accounting principles. The accompanying financial statements of the Courthouse Square Construction Project of Marion County, Oregon are intended to present the assets and liabilities arising from cash transactions and revenues collected and expenditures paid of only that portion of the financial reporting entity of Marion County, Oregon that is attributable to the transactions of the Courthouse Square Construction Project of Marion County, Oregon. A compilation is limited to presenting in the form of financial statements information that is the representation of management. We have not audited or reviewed the accompanying financial statements and, accordingly, do not express an opinion or any other form of assurance on them. Management has elected to omit substantially all of the disclosures ordinarily included in financial statements prepared on the cash basis of accounting. If the omitted disclosures were included in the financial statements, they might influence the user's conclusions about the Project's assets, liabilities, net assets, revenues collected and expenditures paid.
