OREGCN 973D1-3594 <br />T6LGPMONE SB$'25SO <br />ACCOUNTANT'S COMPILATION REPORT <br />December 16, 1997 <br />Board of Commissioners <br />Marion County, Oregon <br />Salem, Oregon <br />We have compiled the accompanying statement of assets and liabilities arising from cash <br />transactions of the Courthouse Squaze Construction Project of Marion County, Oregon as of <br />November 30, 1997, and the related statement of revenues collected, expenditures paid and <br />changes in net assets for the period from inception through November 30, 1997, in accordance <br />with Statements on Standazds for Accounting and Review Services issued by the American <br />Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The financial statements have been prepared on the <br />cash basis of accounting, which is a comprehensive basis of accounting other than generally <br />accepted accounting principles. <br />The accompanying financial statements of the Courthouse Square Construction Project of <br />Marion County, Oregon are intended to present the assets and liabilities arising from cash <br />transactions and revenues collected and expenditures paid of only that portion of the financial <br />reporting entity of Marion County, Oregon that is attributable to the transactions of the <br />Courthouse Square Construction Project of Marion County, Oregon. <br />A compilation is limited to presenting in the form of financial statements information that <br />is the representation of management. We have not audited or reviewed the accompanying <br />financial statements and, accordingly, do not express an opinion or any other form of assurance on <br />them. <br />Management has elected to omit substantially all of the disclosures ordinarily included in <br />financial statements prepared on the cash basis of accounting. If the omitted disclosures were <br />included in the financial statements, they might influence the user's conclusions about the Project's <br />assets, liabilities, net assets, revenues collected and expenditures paid.
