~ ~ `, <br />y// <br />WORK ORDER # 25 - century west <br />ENGINEERING CORPORATION <br />Date: June 10, 1998 <br />Under the terms and conditions established by the May 7, 1997 Addendum to the Extended <br />Services Agreement between Century West Engineering Corporation (Engineer) and Marion County <br />(Clientl, this Work Order authorizes Engineer to perform the following Services: <br />Project #: 40806-001-25 <br />Project Name/Location: Courthouse Square, Salem, Oregon <br />Scope of Work: Provide geotechnical services as follows: <br />1. Drill 4 borings in the previously unexplored portions of the site. Depth of borings would be <br />45 feet except that at least one of the borings would be drilled in the bottom of the existing <br />excavation in the southwest portion of the site, and a depth of only 25 feet would be <br />required. The approximate locations of the borings are shown on the attached sketch. <br />2. Laboratory testing of subsurface materials was performed in the first phase of the <br />investigation. Only minimal additional testing is proposed. If compressible or questionable <br />soils are encountered, consolidation testing may be required to evaluate strength and/or <br />settlement characteristics. <br />3. Analyze the findings of the exploratory work and laboratory testing and prepare a brief report <br />which will be an addendum to our original report of March 7, 1997.
