We are at a critical <br />stage in the design process. The Board and staff are working closely with the <br />architect to understand the various issues affecting the project budget. <br />In a recent consultation with the architect regazding floor plans, we noted that <br />office sizes vary considerably throughout the building. In an effort to standardize <br />office sizes, we have advised the azchitect to use the following maximum <br />standards for enclose offices in the project: <br />Deparhnent Heads/Elected Officials 225 sf <br />Division Managers 175 sf <br />Supervisor/Attorney/etc 150 sf <br />It should also be noted, that unless an exception is granted by the Board, all other <br />staff office needs will be accommodated by the use of partitions or modular units. <br />We believe these standards are more than adequate to meet the program needs of <br />our employees. For architectural reasons, some office sizes may vary in size from <br />the standards noted above. The architect has been given appropriate discretion to <br />make slight modifications in order to design the building efficiently. <br />Anyone believing they should have an exception, should contact Randy Franke <br />directly. He will be the contact Board member for the initial decision. If the <br />matter needs further discussion, he will request it be placed on a Management <br />Staff agenda.
