ARTICLE 2 OWNER 2.1 DEFINITION 2.1.1 The Owner is the person or entity identified as such in the Agreement and is referred to throughout the Contract Documenu as if singular in number. ~e ~} ~'= ~s -~#e ~~ -e~ -~e -A~eF~ ~~ -Fe~eseat~ve- _ The Owner shall desiQnate its ConsWction Renresentative who shall coordinate the activities of the Architect, Contractor Owner's consultanu and all asvecu of the Proiect on behatf of the Owner._ The Owner mav at its discretion, from time to time desiQnate a new Construction Rearesentative. 2.1.2 The Owner upon reasonable written request shall furnish to the Contractor in writing information which is necessary and relevant for the Contractor to evaluate, give notice of or enforce mechanic's lien rights. Contractor shall confirm the location of each utiti shall excavate and disnose of each on-site utilitv and shall cap each off-site utilitv as required bv the Work and as may be included in the Saecifications. 2.2.3 Except for permiu and fees which are the responsibility of the Contractor under the Contract Documents, the Owner shall secure and pay for necess~-~ approvais, easemenu, assessmenu and charges required ~ construction, use or occupancy of permanent structures or for permanent changes in existing facilities. 2.2.4 ~€e~aF~ - Uaon recei t of a written re uest therefor from the Contractor, information or services under the Owner's control shall be furnished by the Owner with reasonabte promptness to avoid delay in orderly progress of the Work. 2.2.5 ~s -et~er~~se ~e~ -~ -t~e ~- ~>es~e~s; -~e -~~e~ras~ef ~ ~e ~; -~ee-e€~ka~g e; sds# -se~ies ~€ ~gs -a~ -Ffejes~ -A~aa~s ~as ~e- fi~ -~esessat~ ~ ~ces~ee ~€ -t~e -~e~{~:Unless otherwise ~rovided in the Contr~act Documents, the Contractor will be furnished, free of char~e• one sepia cOpy of the Drawines and ten copies of the Saecifications nreaared ~ the Architect, and all other drawinl~s and documents necessarv for the execution and com~letion of the Work shall be furnished at Contractor's exaense. 2.2.6 The foregoing are in addition to other duties and responsibilities of the Owner enumerated herein and especiatly those in respect to Article 6(Construction by Owner or by Separate Contractors), Article 9(Paymenu a• Completion) and Article 11 (Insurance and Bonds). `~ 2.3 OWNER'S RIGHT TO STOP THE WORK 2.3.1 If the Contractor fails to correct Work which is not in accordance with the requiremenu of the Contract Documenu as required by Paragraph 12.2 or ~e~~ fails to carry out Work in accordance with the Contract Documenu, the Owner, by written order signed personally or by an agent specifically so empowered by the Owner in writing, may order the Contractor to stop the Work, or any portion thereof, until the cause for such order has been eliminated; however, the right of the Owner to stop the Work shall not give rise to a duty on the part of the Owner to exercise this right for the benefit of the Contractor or any other person or entity, e*se~~ ~e -t~e ~te~ ~~ -~y- ~~-~-1-3-- This ri ht shalt be in addition to• and not in restriction~ the Owner's ri hts under Subpara~raph 12.2. 2.4 OWNER'S RIGHT TO CARRY OUT THE WORK 2.4.1 b Owner-Contractor Agreement General Conditions Supplement (For AIA Doc.
