Salem Area Mass Transit DistrictlMarion County IFB 00-03 7 <br />TAB Services <br />receiving Bids at the place designated for receipt of Bids. Such notice shall be in <br />writing over the signature of the Bidder or by Telegram, written confirmation over <br />the signature must have been mailed and postmarked on or before the date and <br />time set for receipt of Bids; it shall be so worded as not to reveal the amount of <br />the original Bid. Withdrawn Bids may be resubmitted up to the time designated <br />for the receipt of Bids provided that they are then fully in conformance with the <br />Instructions to Bidders. Bid Security shall be in an amount sufficient for the Bid <br />as modified or resubmitted. <br />CONSIDERATION OF BIDS <br />2) BID OPENING <br />2) Bids will be opened at the stated time and place on the Bid Form. <br />2) QUALIFICATION OF BIDDERS <br />2) Any Bidder whose Bid is under consideration shall, upon request, promptly <br />furnish satisfactory evidence of his experience, organization and equipment he <br />has available for the performance of his Contract. <br />2) PERFORMANCE BOND <br />2) The successful Bidder shall, prior to the execution of the Contract, furnish Bonds <br />covering the faithful performance of the Contract and the payment of all <br />obligations arising thereunder secured through the Bidder's usual sources as may <br />be agreeable to the Parties. The premiums shall be paid by the Bidder. <br />2) The Bidder shall deliver the required Bonds to the Owner no later than the date of <br />execution of the Contract, or if the work is to commence prior thereto in response <br />to a Letter of Intent, the Bidder shall, prior to commencement of the work, submit <br />evidence satisfactory to the Owner that such Bonds will be furnished. The <br />Bidder shall require the Attorney-In-Fact that executes the required Bonds on <br />behalf of the Surety to affix thereto a certified and current copy of his Power of <br />Attorney. <br />END OF SECTION <br />
