<br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br />Proposals from interested parties to join with Marion County and the Salem Area <br />Transit District in a joint development project on the Senator Block (200 High St. NE), <br />Salem, Oregon will be received by the Marion County Clerk, Marion County <br />Courthouse, Room 1331, 100 High Street NE, Salem, Oregon 97301-3670, until 3:00 <br />P.M., PDT on May 1, 1996. All proposals submitted must be plainly marked <br />"COUR7HOUSE SQUARE." Proposals received after the set time for submittal will not <br />be considered. Proposals may not be withdrawn after the time set for submittal. <br />A copy of the Request for Proposals may be obtained from Marion County Facilities <br />Management, Marion County Courthouse, Room B270, 100 High Street N. E., Salem, <br />Oregon 97301-3670, Phone: (503) 588-5154, FAX: (503) 373-4430. <br />Through this Request for Proposals, Marion County intends to retain an experienced <br />and qualified firm for a joint public/private partnership to develop a Downtown Transit <br />Center and County Office Building. We are seeking a 3rd party (developer) to provide <br />financing, design and construction services for a project tentatively named "Courthouse <br />Square." The project is located on the site known as the "Senator Block" in downtown <br />Salem (200 High Street NE). The successful applicant selected for this joint venture will <br />have the option to incorporate various retail, office and other mixed uses necessary to <br />make the project financially successful. <br />The successful firm will be required to certify that it is in compliance with ORS 279.350 <br />relative to prevailing wage rates and must comply with the Marion County Public <br />Contract Rules. <br />The Marion County Board of Commissioners is the Public Contract Review Board of <br />Marion County.
