Initialed
Salem Courthouse Square Project
Abatement and Demolition
Addendum #2
March 27, 1997
Item 1:
The abatement proposals are effected by the selection of either a 60 day or 90 day demolition
completion date. Attached to this addendum are two proposal forms for abatement that reflect
both a 60 day and 90 day total project completion schedule and Demolition Proposal forms that
include an Attachment A. Please use these revised forms to submit your abatement proposals.
Item 2:
Answer to Question #5 on Addendum #1:
5. The noise levels were thought to be to strict and at realistically unattainable levels for this
type of project. Can County specified levels be raised to the federal OSHA standards of
85DB. with the exceptions of spike levels possible exceeding these limits after normal
public working hours? (When and how could a waiver be granted for exceeding 85db for
certain tasks?)
Mazion County has looked into noise level restrictions and we believe the standard listed
in the specifications can be adjusted. The descible restriction will be negotiated between
the owner and the contractor and must be within acceptable OSHA standards and meet
City of Salem restrictions.
Item 3:
Attached to this addendum is a location map of Marion County solid waste disposal facilities and
information sheet regazding materials that are accepted from public haulers.
Courthouse Squaze Project
Amendment #2
Mazch 27, 1997
