SALEM COURTHOUSE SQUARE INC. DEMOLITION 1997 1.1 CONTRACTOR USE OF THE SITE SECTION 01043 PROJECT COORDINATION PAGE 1 OF 1 A. Public azeas at the project site may remain occupied by the Owner and the public in connection with the Owner's ordinary operations. The Contractor shall at al,l times perform the work so as to cause the least inconvenience possible to the Owner, the public, and other contractors. B. The Contractor shall minimize the amount of space used for storage of materials and debris in connection with the work and sha11 at all times maintain the work area in a neat and orderly manner. The Contractor shall coordinate lus use of the project site and its space requirements with the Owner's Representative. The Contractor shall limit the use of the premises for work and storage, and coordinate his activities with other contractors working in the area. C. The Contractor assumes full responsibility for the protection and safekeeping of his materials and equipment used and stored on the project site. The Contractor shall protect all existing objects and finishes from damage during the abatement. In the event of damage to existing building equipment, the Contractor will notify the Owner's Representative immediately, and the damage will be repaired at the Contractor's expense. D. Designate bathroom facilities for workers will be provided by the Abatement contractor. 1.2 PROJECT MEETINGS The contractor may be required to attend project coordination meetings during the project as scheduled by the Owner or his representative. 1.3 PRE-CONSTRUCTION MEETING The Contractor shall attend a pre-construction meeting to present his work plan and project schedule and discuss matters specific to the project. A. Agenda: 1. Distribute and discuss tentative Asbestos Removal and Demolition schedule. 2. Discuss processing of field decisions, Demolition Change authorizations, and Change Orders. 3. Discuss Procedure for maintaining Project Record Documents. 4. Discuss use of premises, including site, elcisting building, storage areas, and security. 5. Discuss deliveries, safety, parking, housekeeping. ~ND OF SECTION
