Transit Services Area 6,255 sq.ft. (5,507 useable) The Transit Service Area is on the ground floor and provides the complimentary space to the bus mall including: waiting room, service counter, customer service stations, supervisors' offices, operators' lounge and lunch room, quiet room, staff and public restrooms, security office and interview room, and small conference room. Transit Retail 3,869 sq.ft. (3,430 useable) This space is on the ground floor and can be divided into one or more rentable spaces for transit related retail such as coffee shop, snack bar, sundry sales, etc. FTA will fund the development of the shell space only, with the lessees' being required to do all the interior improvements. Lease revenues will be used to offset the District's costs for maintenance, repair, and utilities on the entire Transit portion of the project. Board Hearing Room 2,650 sq.f~ (2,333 useable) The total square footage allotted to the hearing room and adjacent meeting/conference rooms is 5,300 square feet, with Transit sharing this space with Marion County. This space is also on the ground floor with easy access to the public. Administrative Offices 11,401 sq.ft. ( 10,100 useable) The proposed Transit Administrative Office space will provide for housing all of our administrative functions, currently housed at the Del Webb facility, in this more publicly accessible location. The current facility is around 8,500 square feet but does not have adequate staff space, has inefficient functional relationships (one department to another), lacks file and storage space, and dces not have adequate staff break facilities. Once the move is completed, the current facility will be used for Transit Operations, staff training, and archive storage. The space in Courthouse Square is proposed to be located on the second floor, directly above the Transit Services and Transit Retail space. Transit Expansion 2,709 sq.ft. (2,400 useable) Courthouse Square provides enough expansion space to accommodate future needs for more office space for at least the next 25 years. Some or all of this space may be leased to other users with proceeds being used for transit purposes. This space is also located on the second floor adjacent to the Transit Administrative Office space. Bus Mall 66,824 sq.ft. The bus mall provides weather protected parking for 22 buses, as well as weather protected, outdoor waiting and pedestrian areas adjacent to the indoor customer service area.
