be touring the City's on Wednesday. They have spent a lot of time on
space issues.
The committee asked if you are encountering any resistant from the
community with bring these entities together? This has been a commit-
ment for the last two years, so the communiry has been aware of this
possibility. There was also some concern with shared space. There will
be administrative shared space, but not working space.
GROWTH STATUS:
Randy has put together 4 different charts showing growth statistics. They
are not in the executive summary but were generated by a question of
what is the growth of the facilities and where do we get the funds to pay
for staffing and maintain facilities. The key to this was in 1987, we had a
tax base approval and we were able to add funds that were directly
related to the growth in our tacilities. We will most likely not be able to
have this opportunity or at least we are not talking about in right now.
The sub committee need to consider, as you propose a new facility how
do you provide for the operational funds? Without this part of the answer
we can't go out to the voters and successfully sale a bond measure.
There is one graph that is not on there and that is the population growth.
What kind of population growth? This can impact us as well.
V
