City Council, acting as the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Salem, ofFer <br />to pledge $58,000 for participation in the fabrication/placement of outdoor art <br />in the plaza of the Courthouse Square by: <br />Amending the existing Courthouse Square intergovernmental <br />agreement with the Salem Area Mass Transit District and Marion <br />County to reduce the maximum $2,000,000 construction participation <br />pledge by $58,000, and <br />Establishing a separate intergovernmental agreement with the Salem <br />Area Mass Transit District for participation in the fabrication/placement <br />of exterior art at Courthouse Square in the amount not to exceed <br />$58,000. <br />2. City Council authorize the Mayor to send the attached letter to Salem Area <br />Mass Transit District and Marion County, expressing a willingness of the <br />Urban Renewal Agency to participate in the Courthouse Square art project as <br />outlined above (Attachment B of stafF report dated June 5, 2000). <br />
