HEALTH & SAFETY PLAN <br />FOR <br />DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES <br />at <br />Courthouse Square <br />Salem, OR <br />I. Introduction: <br />This plan covers site demolition, excavation and site utility capping activities to be <br />performed at the above referenced project. Detailed information regarding the horizontal <br />and vertical location of work on the site is available on the approved plans and <br />specifications, located on site in the Marion County Courthouse. <br />An asbestos survey and abatement project has been performed by the owner. All asbestos <br />containing material will be removed by the Owners Asbestos Contractor or subcontractor <br />prior to demolition. <br />A lead survey has been performed by the owner. Identifiable lead concentrations have <br />been quantified in painted surfaces on exterior and interior walls. TCLP testing has been <br />performed by the contractor on representative bulk samples of this project. Sample results <br />confirm that demolition waste will n~t characterize as hazardous. A lead compliance <br />program for Staton employees has been implemented for this project. (See attached Lead <br />Compliance Plan). <br />II. Potential Chemical Contaminants <br />A.
