Piease note the foilowing <br />items pertaining to A.I.A. Document B141: <br />1. Paragraph 2.2.5 refers to Cost Esfimating during the Schematic Design phase of <br />service. Since a detailed cost estimate was provided by Pence/Kelly Construction <br />during this phase of service, this parag~aph should continue as a strikeout in the <br />agreement. <br />2. Paragraph 2.3.2: Delete strikeout. <br />3. Paragraph 2.4.3: Delete strikeout. <br />Cost estimating services for Cou~thouse Square were obtained from Pence/Kelly Construction. The estimate <br />produced by them is the basis for the project proforma prepared by Melvin Mark Development Co. Arbuckle <br />Costic Architects can not accept liability for the cost estimate produced during the Schematic Design phase. <br />As we go through the process of obtaining cost estimating services for the project, we anticipate the following <br />work program: <br />1. Evaluation of Cost Estimate prepared by Pence/Kelly ConsVuction, Inc. <br />2. Towards the end of the Design Development phase, a systems quantity take-off will <br />be produced. <br />3. At 95% comple6on of Construcfiion Documents, a new systems quantity take-off will <br />be produced. <br />Marion County and Salem Area Transit have deaded to change from a negotiated "C~A°" to "hard b~!" <br />conventional procurement for the project.
