Since the value of services
provided by our interioPs staff will probably exceed the fee delta generated by the add altemate price, we
are proposing an houriy basis with a not-taexceed amount developed as follows:
Consuitation and preparation of constn~ction documents:
a. Interior Designer. 70 hours ~$50/hr. _$3,500.
b. Project Architect: 4 hours ~$70/hr. _$280.
2. Bidding Phase: I~cluded.
3. Constnaction Review and Cont~act Administration: Included.
Jim Sears has expressed concern that the department not be paying twice for the same service. I have
reviewed the documentation prepared by Harding Lawson Associates and note that it represents a resource
of materials with recyGed content, but does not necessarily address servicability and life cycle costs.
Since , ly,
~
,.~ , ;
i
- ----. ----~ -____~
-teonard odder, A.I.A.
Architect
LL:gnv
cc: John Whittington, Salem Area Transit
Craig Lewis, Melvin Mark Development Company
9828.1 A
